The Owls are a four- piece indie rock band from Newcastle, Australia. The triple J Unearthed winners have been at it since 2008, touring with the likes of Gyroscope, The Living End, The Jezabels, Cloud Control and Phrase to name a few.
The Owls have taken the fast-paced elements of alternative rock, thrown in a liberal lashing of progressive southern dustiness and mixed in touches of ethereal dissonance to make a style all their own.
The Owls first, self-titled EP, received critical praise from both peer and punters alike, and now The Owls are to set to release their follow up second release in early 2012.
